Manufacturing context: punching equipment in the factory photograph. Define the blade size, cutter material, markings and packaging before approving an OEM sample.

Define order lines before asking for a price

An actionable A5 RFQ identifies quantities per size, nominal length, moving-cutter material and exact clipper model. A5 alone is not a complete product description.

If a programme includes #10 at 1.5 mm (1/16 in) and #7F at 3.2 mm (1/8 in), create two size lines. Add steel grade, heat treatment, coating, tooth-pitch or tolerance requirements only where the buyer has a defined need. State whether the request concerns a standard configuration, a branding change or design development so the supplier can review the correct scope.

  • Include destination, target timing and the intended sales channel along with the technical requirements.
  • Use the drawing-attachment facility in the full RFQ for a defined custom part, without assuming new tooling is always required.

Clarify MOQ and timing for the actual programme

The stated MOQ is 100 pieces and the standard lead time is 1–2 weeks. These figures do not establish every size split, custom-development schedule or delivery date.

Ask how the minimum applies to the requested assortment, cutter options and packaging version. Sample preparation, artwork revisions and any custom processing should be confirmed separately. Agree when the production lead-time clock starts and identify approvals that must be complete first. Do not present the standard production period as a guaranteed arrival date at the buyer's warehouse.

  • Confirm the minimum quantity for the actual size and configuration mix in writing.
  • Separate sample timing, production timing and transport timing in the purchasing plan.

Approve the sample and branding together

Approve the product configuration and the packaging information against the same A5 order-line specification. Samples are available for programme review.

Review size designation, mm/in cut length, moving-cutter material and the exact Compatible with wording intended for the pack. Jizu lists PVC-box or custom packaging options; the selected artwork and packing arrangement should be agreed in the quotation. A logo approval does not establish mechanical fit or performance, so keep technical sample acceptance as a separate decision.

  • Check #7F/7FC, #5F/5FC and #4F/4FC label consistency where those confirmed equivalents are used.
  • Retain the approved artwork version, product sample reference and agreed inspection requirements before production.

Agree release documents and delivery responsibilities

Define the shipment evidence and commercial responsibilities before releasing the A5 order. The stated quality stages are IQC, IPQC and OQC.

Request the lot identification, order-line quantities and inspection record needed by the buyer. DDP is an available discussion option, not a complete destination-specific contract; confirm the destination and responsibilities in the quotation. Payment options include credit/debit card, PayPal and T/T, subject to the agreed order process. Any regional exclusivity should be documented separately rather than inferred from a private-label order.

  • Agree how a discrepancy or quality claim will be recorded and reviewed using the order and batch details.
  • Keep the final specification, artwork and inspection agreement together for reorder consistency.

Buyer questions

Confirmed references and practical purchasing checks.

Does MOQ 100 mean 100 pieces for every size?

The stated MOQ is 100 pieces, but the application to a mixed-size or custom programme must be confirmed in the quotation. Do not assume an unconfirmed split.

Is 1–2 weeks a guaranteed delivery time?

No. It is the stated standard lead-time reference, not a destination delivery guarantee. Confirm sample approvals, custom work, production start and transport timing separately.

Does private labelling always require new tooling?

No tooling requirement is established by the branding request alone. Send the proposed product changes or drawings so the supplier can review whether existing configuration or development work is needed.
