A5 Blade Compatibility: An Exact-model Buying Checklist

Confirm compatibility using the exact clipper model and an agreed sample, not the brand name or A5 label alone. Blade cut length and mechanical fit are different purchasing questions.

Identify the machine, not just the brand

An exact model is the minimum useful starting point for an A5 compatibility review. A brand can sell more than one blade or mounting system.

Record the full name from the clipper label and identify any variant or attachment used with it. If the buyer cannot identify the machine, request a clear label photograph and mounting-area photograph before claiming compatibility. Keep the existing blade reference with that record. None of these checks requires assuming that every product from a manufacturer uses the same detachable interface.

  • Provide the exact model as printed on the machine, together with a mounting photograph.
  • If the requested model is absent from the confirmed table, mark it for review instead of promising fit.

Use the published Compatible with table narrowly

The compatibility page lists individual model references. These entries apply to the named models, not every model made by the listed brands. Check your exact clipper model and mounting interface before ordering.

For example, the confirmed Compatible with Wahl entries include KM2, KM5, KM10 and KM Cordless. Use the full table for the other confirmed model names rather than shortening a model family into a brand-wide statement. Regional names and product variants should be resolved in the RFQ. Jizu is an independent supplier; a compatibility reference does not imply an endorsement or affiliation.

  • Copy the exact table entry into the enquiry and identify the buyer's actual machine.
  • Do not publish a new model pairing until the supplier and buyer have reviewed supporting evidence.

Separate the fit check from the cutting specification

A #10 at 1.5 mm (1/16 in) and a #5F at 6.3 mm (1/4 in) differ in cut length. Changing size is not a method of resolving an uncertain mounting interface.

Agree a sample-fit check on the nominated clipper and follow that clipper manufacturer's fitting and operating instructions. Document seating, engagement and any observed issue without forcing an incompatible component. Evaluate the agreed cutter material and application separately. A front photograph of a blade cannot establish the mounting result on the buyer's machine.

  • Record machine identity, blade sample identity and the fit-check outcome together.
  • List any attachment comb as a separate compatibility question; no universal comb pairing is published.

Carry the compatibility record into repeat orders

A repeat order should reference the approved A5 configuration and the same nominated machine or a newly reviewed replacement.

If a buyer changes the clipper variant, material option or blade assembly requirement, ask whether another sample is needed. Retain the exact Compatible with wording in distributor material and use the trademark disclaimer. For a new OEM programme, link the sample reference to the drawing, label and packaging approval so purchasing and marketing teams use the same model information.

  • Include the exact model and approved sample reference in the RFQ, alongside quantities per blade size.
  • Review fit again when the machine or blade specification changes; do not treat an earlier pairing as unlimited approval.

Explore the A5 specifications

Use these eight published A5 specifications to build separate RFQ order lines. Listed lengths are nominal references in millimeters and inches.

Buyer questions

Confirmed references and practical purchasing checks.

Does A5 mean universal compatibility?

No. A5 is a detachable-format reference. Confirm the exact clipper model using the published list, mounting information and the agreed sample process.

Can I use a different size to solve a fit problem?

No. Size numbers specify nominal cut length, not a remedy for a mismatched mounting system. Review the machine and blade interface separately.

What if my clipper is not listed?

Request a compatibility review with the exact model, label and mounting photos. Absence from the confirmed list is not proof of either compatibility or incompatibility.
